WIP Wednesday: Essence of Fear (Boykov Bratva, 3)

Hey, loves! This week I am working on a side project before I begin Michel and Gabbie's book next week on Monday (I can't start a new book until a Monday; strange habit, I know). So this week, you get a peek at the third book in the Boykov Bratva series, which is Viktoria's book. I have no doubt that she wasn't well liked way back when she was first introduced ... but don't I always make you come around? ha. Enjoy. *** The screams down the hall were only muffled when a morbid crack echoed down the corridor. Pavel continued his work three chambers down as though he hadn’t heard anything at all, and nothing was wrong. That was best, really. A decade working in the Boykov’s Compound taught him there was nothing worse than sticking one’s nose where it did not belong. Unless something directly involved him, Pavel was better off to stay far away.  Filling the bucket with ice-cold water again from the tap sticking out of the wall, he headed to the man shackled in the corne...

AMA - You Ask, Bethany Answers!

Hey, loves! It's that time of the week again where you ask me all your burning questions, and I try to answer them as best I can. Do you have a question for me? Awesome. Please drop it in HERE . Remember, I can only keep up my AMA if I have questions to answer, right? Okay, onto the questions for this week, loves. *** 1. Hi. I just love how you write your female characters. They are all so strong and I love that in books even though they haven't always had it easy. Is their anyone of them that you can relate to or have a special place for? Hi there. I try to give all my heroines strength in different ways. Sometimes, depending on the character, their strength might come in their silence. Not everyone is the same, after all. Sometimes being quiet and refusing to engage the thing causing you the most pain is where someone is the most strong, right? And then we have some of my heroines whose strength is far more obvious, and right in your face. Heroines like Catrina, or Aria, for ...

The #NazandRoz Series - Chapter 2

Hey, loves!  Welcome back to the Naz and Roz blog series. Once a week, a chapter is added.  Want to catch up? Naz and Roz Blog Series CHAPTER ONE CHAPTER TWO CHAPTER THREE CHAPTER FOUR CHAPTER FIVE CHAPTER SIX CHAPTER SEVEN CHAPTER EIGHT CHAPTER NINE CHAPTER TEN CHAPTER ELEVEN *** New Plans Naz POV "Aren't you supposed to be up in the air right now? Why do I hear--"  "Little change in plans," Roz said.  Naz glanced up from the bathroom sink where he'd been flicking his razor into the basin--fuck, here he was at twenty-five, and his father still bitched when his face wasn't clean shaven.  Made men can't have that, shave it , Cross would bark. Drove him crazy. "What do you mean, a change in plans?"  "I agreed to make a quick pitstop in England for--"  "Kyle," Naz said dully.  That asshole.  All these years, and Naz still thought Roz's former mentor was a bit of a prick. Not that the guy had ever overstepped his boundar...

AMA - You Ask, Bethany Answers

Hey, loves. It's that time of the week again where you ask me all your burning questions and I do my very best to answer them. If you're wondering where your question is or why I might not have answered it yet, you can click on the AMA tag in the upper left-hand corner of this post, and you will see all the old AMAs. It is very possible I might have already answered a question exactly like yours recently, and that will give you the answer you are looking for. Or, I may have simply not gotten to it quite yet, but I will. I don't always answer questions in order that I receive them - sometimes I see one that makes me laugh or smile and I want to answer it first, so I do. Do you have a question for me? That's great. Add it HERE . Now, onto the questions for this week, loves. *** 1. Hi! Just wanna ask when writing your books which comes first, the characters or the story? Hi there. This is a great question, and sometimes, it depends. But probably not how you're thinking...

The #NazandRoz Series - Chapter 1

Hey, loves!  This series chapters are posted once per week, and focus on Naz and Roz.  Want to catch up? Naz and Roz Blog Series CHAPTER ONE CHAPTER TWO CHAPTER THREE CHAPTER FOUR CHAPTER FIVE CHAPTER SIX CHAPTER SEVEN CHAPTER EIGHT CHAPTER NINE CHAPTER TEN CHAPTER ELEVEN *** Five Years Later ...  Roz POV Spinning around in her apartment, Roz looked for the box she'd just walked away from not three minutes ago. It was the one with the papers stacked close to the top, and according to the doctor's office that just called ... the information she was seeking had been in a file they mailed over the week before.  Unfortunately, her entire place was just  boxes  right now. Boxes to the left, and boxes to the damn right. Problem was, while most of the lower section of boxes had been packed and taped up properly, the ones on top were not. So it could be any number of boxes, and Roz just  really  didn't have time to try and go through each box right n...

Outtake: After the Wedding #CrossandCatherine

Hey, loves!  As promised, here's the final outtake for this series focused on Cross + Catherine's wedding day. It will probably be one of the last outtakes I write them, but you never know at the same time. Never say never, after all. We will just have to see how it goes.  Okay, do enjoy loves.  *** After the Wedding (Reception)  A Cross + Catherine Outtake Cross/Catherine POV Catherine Laughter came from the people surrounding them, and hands hit the tables repeatedly. Makeshift drums, maybe, but all Catherine could do was shake her head at the sight of Cross grinning in that arrogant way of his. All the while, he had a piece of cake lifted in his hand for her to get a cook look at. Not a big piece, mind you, but it was big enough for him to make a whole mess across her face like she had done to his just a second before.  "Don't you  dare ," she warned.  "You know what you gotta do, Cross!" someone shouted behind him.  "Don't let her get away w...
