WIP Wednesday: The Hunted

Hey, all! We're back for another WIP Wednesday! So, I actually posted this teaser in my reader group late last night - but SUPER late. So, here it is again. For those who may not be aware, The Hunted is a Paranormal/Fantasy romance about shifting mermaids and the landwalkers/humans who hunt them. Enjoy, loves. * The Hunted (January 2020) * “Wait!” She didn’t. The last thing he saw from the red-headed mermaid was the tips of her tail fin that peeked out from the water before disappearing beneath the surface again. Those bluish-green scales with the black markings seemed to wink at him—taunt him—before she was gone. Rage filled him. Disbelief, too. The confusion was the worst, though. He mind raced from one memory to the next. He tried to put all the pieces together, but it felt like none of it made sense. Oh, he knew what happened. Remembered it perfectly well. But why? His gaze scanned the water, entirely ignoring the ship that was now skimming along the edge of the shoreline of th...

Wednesday Tease: Dirty Pool #ComingSoon

It'll be just a couple of weeks before Dirty Pool is out in the world. I can't wait to share the story of Michel and Gabbie. Oh, and they're on preorder! If you haven't grabbed your copy yet, you should. * Amazon - Releasing May 6th (in KU) iTunes - Releasing April 29th Barnes & Noble - Releasing April 29th And onto the snippet: Michel set himself up at the far end of the table near the left pocket. Bending down over the edge, he rested his stick on the wooden side, and measured how far the last striped ball on the table was from the cue ball, and which pocket he wanted to choose for it. His bigger problem was the fact that the eight ball was in the way, and if he sunk that fucker on accident first before the striped nine ball, then he was going to lose. Not a problem . He settled on a trick shot that would have the cue ball spinning back around to crack the eight ball into a pocket after sinking the nine ball into the right side pocket. Michel pointed his cue ba...

WIP Wednesday: Dirty Pool #ComingSoon #MichelandGabbie

Hey, loves! We're back for a teaser from Michel and Gabbie's standalone novel, Dirty Pool, which releases next month! Hope you're ready for these two. * “What are your plans for the summer, then?” Catrina asked, bringing him back to the conversation at hand. “Today was your final exam before break, right?” “It was.” “ And ?” Michel shook his head, knowing there was no way out of this conversation. “And I haven’t decided yet what I’m doing with my break.” That was a lie. He had decided. He wasn’t going home. Catrina made a sad noise. “Well, okay.” He knew what his parents wanted—they missed him, and would like to have him home. In a way, he wanted to go back, too, but he’d heard the stories and rumors. Students that went back and got comfortable at home after their first year had a higher chance of not returning for the second. He didn’t think his mother would appreciate him telling her that, though. But he did miss them. He missed his family . His cousins, aunts, uncles, an...

WIP: BENE (The Guzzi Legacy, 5)

Hey, loves. So, lately for WIPs on the blog, I have been sharing from the next release, but because Dirty Pool doesn't come out for a bit ... I can spare a snippet from Bene, another Guzzi Legacy book. Do enjoy. ;) * “Vanna, is it?” Vanna turned away from Marcus who had been showing her the long corridor in the mansion that was dedicated solely to portraits of the Guzzi family. Currently, she was admiring a recent one of Cara surrounded by her boys as young men in a forest setting where she sat on a throne, staring head on at the artist painting, proud as could be over the empire around her. An army of principes . And a queen leading them. The woman in the picture was the same one walking toward her now. Marcus dropped Vanna’s hand that had been tucked into his elbow with a smile, but only long enough to greet his mother with a one-armed hug, and kiss to her cheek. “I’ll give you two a minute,” he murmured. “ Grazie, mio raggazo .” “Be nice, Ma.” Cara laughed, winking Vanna’s way a...

The Naz & Roz Chronicles - Chapter Nineteen

Hey, loves! Believe it or not, but I think I have finally found the natural end to this blog series. No, it isn’t this chapter, but within the next couple … which I will then break for a bit to get an idea of what I want to do for the next blog series before we will resume every Monday with another couple for a blog series. I did a poll in my reader’s group, so it seems like the most popular and requested couple for this is Cece and Juan (SHOCKER). As a reminder, if you scroll to the top of the screen on this blog, you’ll see the word SUBCRIBE. If you click on that, and enter your email, you will get an email every time I post an outtake, teaser, or blog series chapter. If you never wanna miss out. Want to catch up? Wednesday Teaser: Contempt #ComingSoon #RenzoandLucia

Hey, loves! We're what, 19 days away from the release of Contempt? Are you fucking ready? Because wow, I am not ... hahaha. Okay, do enjoy this teaser for them. ** Lucia couldn’t breathe. Oh, God . She couldn’t fucking breathe . She felt frozen on the side of the road. Standing just beyond the sidewalk, people blew behind her going in all directions. She could see people walking on the other side of the street, too. Going to somewhere, or coming from something. She didn’t know, but they all seemed to be moving in slow motion. Her world had slowed. Almost stopped . Like her heart. She was sure her manicured fingernails were digging crescent marks into her palms, but fuck, she couldn’t feel anything . Nothing but the beats of her heart. A thump-thump-thumping beat that felt like it was about to pulse its way right out of her chest, if it were possible. She couldn’t hear anything, either. The city had seemed so loud to her that day. Almost two weeks in New York, and for whatever reaso...

WIP Wednesday: Harbor (Renzo + Lucia, 2)

Hey, loves! Are you ready for another sneak peek at Harbor? Enjoy. ** The man’s hand tightened on Renzo’s forearm. “Now, you wait just a second, young man.” He glanced down at the unwelcomed hand on his body. “Remove your fucking hand before I do, please.” There, he was kind. He gave the man a warning. The guy’s gaze narrowed on Renzo’s face. “I thought something was strange with you two last night, even if you didn’t come out of the truck. You think someone wasn’t going to see those wires hanging down like that? All I had to do was watch the damn news to hear about the robbery just across the border. Looking for a dark vehicle , they said. Likely stolen. You’re not going anywhere. The cops will be here soon, so you might as well just give it up.” Oh, was that what he thought? Renzo had news for him. “You’re going to let me go, or I’m going to make you wish you’d never even seen my face,” Renzo murmured. “Last chance, sir.” “I just told you … you’re not going—” “Let him go ,” came a so...
