Outtake: All Hallows' Eve #DonatiEdition

Hey, loves! It feels appropriate that for the last outtake of the month of October, this is something related to Halloween. A request was put in for this specifically into the form and it made me smile, so here we are. Which is how most of these come to be. Do enjoy. * All Hallows’ Eve – Donati Edition Calisto POV Calisto glanced over his shoulder, chuckling at the sight of his son doing his best to look … well, tough wasn’t quite the right word. More like … indifferent. Eight-year-old Cross loved Halloween. Just like his sister, Cam. Really, they took that from their parents. The one night of the year when he and his wife could let go a bit, have some fun … scare the whole fucking block, even. All that sweetness his wife retained throughout the year could disappear in a blink when someone gave her a vat of fake blood and told her to have some fun. It wasn’t a surprise their kids followed the tradition. Cross just liked to take things one step farther—with their haunted house done for ...

Outtake: Four Queens #CeceJuan

Hey, loves! Sorry this is so late today. It's been a day.  We’re back for the next outtake of the month, and this was one of those pieces for Cece and Juan that I had sketched out for their blog series, but felt would probably be better as just an outtake – mostly because I felt the natural end was where I had it, and anything further didn’t fit the constant narrative of the blog series which had mostly been them finding their way into a stable HEA moment. This a snapshot after that. Enjoy. * A Cece & Juan Outtake Four Queens Cece POV A streak of muted yellow warmed a streak of the off-white bundle wrapped in soft, off-white muslin. The ray of sunlight peeked through the slate in the hotel room’s blinds. It was early enough that just three weeks ago, Cece wouldn’t have dreamed of rolling over in bed. Now, she was usually up before the sun even thought to say hello. For good reason. One she didn’t mind. “Shhhh,” she said, a soft murmur as much as the sound was musical at the sam...

AMA - You Ask, Bethany Answers!

Hey, loves! We're back for another round of AMA. I do this now whenever I get a few questions backed up into the form. So, if you have a question for me, you can drop it in HERE . Something that's regularly asked in here is if someone can buy signed paperbacks. And yes, on my website right now - SHOP HERE . Onto the questions this month. * 1. Will you ever tell us who Vanna is?  LMAO - yes. Hi there. Yes, I will tell you who she is - sooner than you think. I will not give you any lead up to it, I'm just gonna drop something that'll tell it all. No one is going to find out and know and have to keep it a secret, say like ARC readers. We're just all going to find out together. Soon. Honestly, I always kind of felt like it should have been obvious where Vanna originated from ... or the people she came from, maybe, would be a better way to say it. The past always comes full circle. In this world, it's always come back around. 2. Cory Rossi? He needs a story please. L...

Outtake: Dad #CrossCatherine

Hey, loves! The schedule kind of got messed up a bit, but hopefully we’ll be back on track with outtakes on Fridays as usual. I actually got the idea for this particular outtake from a post in my reader group. It was kind of perfect for Cross and his kids, so I thought you might all like to see that be brought to life. 😊 Onto the outtake, loves. * Cross + Catherine Catherine POV Dad “Can I? Can I do it, Papa?” Catherine followed the voice of her four-year-old son, letting it lead her to the rear French doors of their three-level home that took them to the veranda. Standing in the doorway, her gaze scanned the large backyard at the same time she heard Cross reply to Naz, “Yeah, jump. I’ll catch you.” Jump ? She didn’t have to search for long before she found the source of their conversation and the fucking answer to her question. There stood her husband, fifteen or more feet down on the ground from where their son currently waited. In this fledgling treehouse . Right then, it was noth...

The Cece & Juan Vignettes: Chapter 18 - Wedding Bells

Hey, loves! We’re back for the final chapter of the blog series. I know some people will want to see more from Cece and Juan - ie kids, more of Nazio, yadda yadda, haha - and you will get a couple of outtakes from them. But I felt they were better suited as outtakes and less as a part of their blog series. But I felt this particular piece below was the best ending place for their blog series as a whole. Thanks so much for coming along the ride with me. And once again, shout out to Sasha who did the cover for this blog series - it still makes me grin to see it, I loved it.  Next blog series will start posting in a month-ish ... it's not who you think! It will be a shorter blog series than the past two with maybe only a few chapters ... but we'll get there.  Hugs, loves.  XO BK Do you need to catch up? The entire series is now finished.
